Sheet Metal Part

  Sheet Metal Part Questions

  1. I have created a full width flange in a sheet metal part and would like to change it to a partial width flange.

  2. I would like to know if it is possible to add part features such as a protrusion to a sheet metal component?

  3. I have a sheet metal component which has gaps in the corners where two flanges are adjacent to each other. How can the gaps be closed up?

  4. I need to model a stainless steel table drawing in which I have all sides double bending. The top sheet (tab) is 16swg. All four sides are bent downwards 25 mm at 90 degrees. Then all four sides are then bent inwards by 12 mm at 90 degrees. This is failing for me when I try it in ST3 sheet metal. How can I model this part?

  5. Is there a way to show cross-creasing in sheet metal?

  6. I have a sheet metal part made of 5mm thick material. I need to achieve a very tight bend in the material so this will require a V groove cut into the part along the bend location before it is folded.

  7. Is it possible to model a tube in Solid Edge Sheet Metal?
