ST Update Training

Here are the update videos and tutorials from the Solid Edge ST Update training course.

Introduction to Traditional Interface - ST Update

The purpose of this module is to provide you with a full understanding of the user interface for Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology. This version saw a brand new interface based on the Microsoft Office 2007 (Fluent) standard. The training session will walk you through all aspects of the new interface and provide you with the tools to start using this new version effectively.

Synchronous Sketching - Part One - ST Update

This is part 1 in a 3 part series for Synchronous sketching. The purpose of this module is to introduce you to the way sketches are created and handled within a Synchronous design environment since this is a very different workflow to sketching in a traditional Solid Edge Model. The lesson will focus on the basic sketching tools, plane locking and sketch collectors.

Synchronous Sketching - Part Two - ST Update

This is part 2 in a 3 part series for Synchronous sketching. The purpose of this session is to expand on the topics covered in the first session and introduce some additional tools and capabilities. You will learn about sketch regions as well as how the 2D dimensions and constraints are handled when 3D geometry is created from the sketch.

Synchronous Sketching - Part Three - ST Update

This is part 3 in a 3 part series for Solid Edge Synchronous sketching. The purpose of this third and final sketching module is to expand on the topics covered in the first two sessions and finish off by covering the rest of the available tools and capabilities. You will learn how to manipulating sketches in 3D space, how to manually control the sketch origin and how to re-use sketches between different designs.

Part Modelling - Part One - ST Update

This is part 1 in a 7 part series for Solid Edge Synchronous part modelling. The purpose of this first modelling video tutorial is to introduce the concept of Synchronous Modelling and cover some of the basic 3D toolsets. You will learn about the workflow and command options for creating Extruded and Revolved shapes as well as creating Holes. This will introduce the concept of procedural features whose parameters may be changed at any time without the need to re-compute any model history.
