Part Modelling – Part Three – ST3 Update

The purpose of this final Solid Edge ST3 Part Modelling update video tutorials is to finish looking at the enhancements which affect part modelling in ST3. The session includes a look at how the Family of Parts and Divide Part functionality has been extended to cope with Synchronous parts in our new mixed mode environment. In addition to this you will learn about the changes to Live Rules, the Relate command enhancements, integrated reference planes and coordinate systems as well as a new command called Offset Edge and how mixed mode parts are handled when saving and exporting.

Sheet Metal – ST3 Update

The purpose of this Solid Edge ST3 Sheet Metal update video tutorials is to look at the enhancements which specifically affect the sheet metal environment in ST3. The session covers how the new integrated modelling environment impacts working with sheet metal. This includes looking at how flat patterns are now handled. You will also learn about some new sheet metal live rules, how to use the new closed corner types for 2 bend corners, how to use the new Etch command, how to convert traditional ordered parts to synchronous sheet metal parts and more.

Assembly – Part One – ST3 Update

The purpose of this first of two Solid Edge ST3 Assembly update video tutorials is to start looking at the changes to the new integrated mode assembly environment. This training video covers the enhancements to the selection tools and filters, weld bead generation, 3D measure commands and feedback and part item number allocation. You will also learn all then new adjustable parts capabilities as well as the brand new display configuration functionality which has seen a complete overhaul.

Assembly – Part Two – ST3 Update

The purpose of this second and final Solid Edge ST3 Assembly update video tutorial is to finish looking at the enhancements and changes to the new Assembly environment in ST3. This training video covers the enhancements to the Inter-Part relationship structure, with the new capabilities for navigating these types of relationships as well as the ability to freeze and thaw them. You will also learn how part to part associativity can be defined between Synchronous designs in various ways, including using the new Create Inter-Part Relationships tool. In addition to this you will cover a useful assembly focused workflow for the From / To extent option within the extrude command.

Drafting - ST3 Update

The purpose of this Solid Edge ST3 drafting update video tutorial is to look at all the enhancements and changes that apply to the drafting environment in ST3.
