A common requirement in machine design is the need to simulate the movement of a mechanism. This is something that Solid Edge has been able to achieve in various ways for a long time. One issue that can affect this is when the design contains systems that need to adjust such as a hydraulic cylinder. Solid Edge can overcome this by defining the system as an adjustable assembly. This also has the added benefit of creating a correct bill of materials when more than one unique instance of a moving sub assembly is contained within a design. This training session will focus on how to create and use adjustable assemblies.
The above is a short overview of the Solid Edge tutorial Adjustable Assemblies.
