Assembly – Part One – Fundamentals

The purpose of this first Solid Edge fundamentals assembly modelling session is to introduce the assembly environment and focus on creating an assembly using some of the most common methods. You will learn how to use common relationship tools such as Mate, Planar Align and Axial Align as well as the FlashFit tool which combines all three. You will also look at patterning parts and using reference geometry to help poistion parts in the assembly.

Assembly – Part Two – Fundamentals

The purpose of this second Solid Edge fundamentals assembly modelling session is to cover the rest of the rest of the relationship types available for constructing an assembly. You will learn how to use relationships like Parallel, Connect, Tangent, Cam and more.

Assembly – Part Three – Fundamentals

The purpose of this third Solid Edge fundamentals assembly modelling session is to expand on the material covers in the first two sessions and look at ways the assembly can be manipulated. You will learn how to use the assembly PathFinder to hide, show, edit and activate parts. Also various selection options will be introduced as well as how the display and colours of parts can be controlled.

Assembly – Part Four – Fundamentals

The purpose of this fourth Solid Edge fundamentals assembly modelling session is to cover the the top down design capabilities in Solid Edge. You will learn how to create new parts in the context of the assembly using various different methods as well as look at how to create associative links between parts in the assembly. Assembly features such as cutouts and holes will also be covered.
