Dynamic clipping planes
Question
I am trying to use the clipping plane function to see inside an assembly in order to check for clashes. For some reason the command is not working and as I move the planes around they do not clip the graphics.
Answer
By default the dynamic function for clipping planes is switched off. This means there will be no graphical feedback as the planes are moved around. To switch the function on go to the Tools > Options > View dialogue and check the 'Dynamic Clipping' function. You can also define the colour and transparency of each plane here. Now when the clipping planes are being defined they will update dynamically on the screen.
