Alignments for springs
Question
I'm trying to position a spring, which I have modelled as a helical protrusion, in an assembly. I seem to be having selecting the centre line of the spring to create an axial align with another component in the assembly.
Answer
You can turn on the centreline (axis) of the spring whilst you are in the process on trying to assemble it. This is done under the Construction Display icon in the Command Bar. Once the axis is visible you will be able to use it for an axial align operation.
