I am trying to import a step file into solid edge. When the process is complete some of the parts are invisible. It is possible to open the invisible parts in 'solid edge part'. Once opened the part is visible but appears to consist entirely of part copies. I am using V19. When I right click on any part copy the option 'make base feature' is not available. What am I doing wrong?
I have an assembly with around 76 parts. I used the assembly as a template to create a new assembly where several parts changed. SInce I do not want the original parts to change, I used Revision manager to make copies of the parts which will ultimately be modified. Is there now any way to make some sort of list so that I can compare the two assembly structures to illustrate what has changed?
I understand that this would be easy if using Insight or Teamcenter but I am running Solid Edge unmanaged.
An assembly structure has been copied to a new name and location by using Revision Manager. Then the same has then been done to the Draft file for the assembly. However the draft file is still referencing the old assembly in its old location. How can I make the new draft file reference the new assembly?
