Synchronous Migration

Here are the training videos for the Solid Edge Synchronous Technology Migration course. This is perfect for existing and new users to learn how to transition from Ordered design to Synchronous design techniques.

Synchronous Introduction - Synchronous Migration

The purpose of this Solid Edge video training session is to cover some of the differences between traditional ordered based design and Synchronous Technology. It will also look at some of the advantages of Synchronous Technology and set the scene for the rest of the training course.

Sketching - Part Three - Synchronous Migration

The purpose of this Solid Edge video training session is to continue looking at the way sketches are handled within the Synchronous modelling mode. This is the final sketching session which will focus on how sketches can be manipulated in 3D space by using the Steering Wheel as well as how they can be shared amongst other designs by using copy and paste or the Feature Library. We also cover the ability to control the origin and orientation of the sketch plane and more.

Part Modelling - Part One - Synchronous Migration

The purpose of this Solid Edge video training session is to start looking at constructing part models using Synchronous mode. This is the first part modelling session which will introduce some of the concepts of Synchronous modelling and look at some of the basic commands such as extrude and revolve along with all their options. We will also cover the use of the Synchronous hole and thread commands. This will introduce the concept of procedural features which are unique to Synchronous Technology.

Part Modelling - Part Three - Synchronous Migration

The purpose of this Solid Edge video training session is to continue looking at Synchronous part modelling. This is the third session which will focus on Synchronous reference planes and coordinate systems and covers the creation and editing of both. You will also learn how to differentiate between traditional features and synchronous face sets and their importance in Synchronous modelling. In addition to this the training also covers the creation of user defined face sets and rules when attempting to delete geometry.

Part Modelling - Part Four - Synchronous Migration

The purpose of this Solid Edge video training session is to continue looking at Synchronous part modelling. This is the fourth session which will focus on Synchronous editing capabilities. This will focus heavily on the subject of the Steering Wheel which is one of the main edit tools used to manipulate geometry in the Synchronous mode. All aspects of the Steering Wheel will be covered. You will also learn about Live Rules and how they control other geometry during an edit by maintaining any strong geometric conditions that are found in the model.
