Part Modelling – Part One – Fundamentals

The purpose of this video tutorial is to introduce some of the part modelling tools and profile based features. You will learn how to use some of the more basic features such as extrude and revolve along with their options. As well as the helix, loft and sweep commands. The unique Solid Edge concept of open profiles will also be introduced and you will learn how to edit parametric features.

Part Modelling – Part Two – Fundamentals

The purpose of this second Solid Edge fundamentals part modelling session is to carry on looking at profile based features. You will learn about some of the more specialized features and super features such as holes, ribs, web networks, and mounting bosses amongst others.

The purpose of this third Solid Edge fundamentals part modelling session is to introduce treatment features. You will learn how to add rounds, chamfers, draft angles, thin walls, threads and more.

The purpose of this forth and final Solid Edge fundamentals part modelling session is to introduce the concept of reusing features and geometry. You will learn how to use the tools to perform Patterns, Mirror, Cut / Copy and Paste, Feature Libraries and Insert Part Copy.
